Lecale Cottages are located on a 24acre site in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, two miles from the small village of Rostrevor. The seven limewashed cottages and two houses are built in a traditional style and have magnificent views over the mountains and down to the sea.

The cottages are only an hour from Belfast and two hours from Dublin.  Both Dublin and Belfast have major airports and ferry terminals.  Newry, a lively market town with good shopping is only 10 miles away and Rostrevor village, although small, has good shops and places to eat. 

Inside the cottages combine traditional style with modern day comfort.  There is a variation in layout from cottage to cottage to give each a unique feel but all are outfitted to the same high standard.   The open plan living/kitchen and dining area has the  traditional tiled floor and turf fire combined with a well equipped modern kitchen.  In keeping with the traditional feel the outfitting of the cottages was done using the best of local materials with Irish linen and local woollens being a feature throughout.   The houses have oil fired central heating. 

On Site . Children's playground , hard tennis court and a 1.5km riverside/farm walk.Plenty of space to get back in touch with nature. We also have, together with the local fishing club ,a fish hatchery,from which the local river is being restocked with salmon and trout.
